My Christmas Poem

The greatest gift given to me
Was the babe in a manger
For all the world to see

Herald as the coming Savior
For the sake of mankind
Because of his behavior

Such a gift to have received
Year in and onward to beyond
For man has been deceived

To spend and spend
When all He did was exist
God in man was the blend

No flat screen TV
Nor a phone of droid
Did this gift come to be

No glitter of lights adorned
Save the guiding star shining
 To He who was born

That miracle happened but once
And has never stopped giving.
Love such love, the gift of sustenance

Time stands still for no man
Appreciation comes and settles
Sun rises and too the moon can

Matter not what I think or feel
But this award above you see
To me is really a big big deal

Thank you Poetry Palace for this award

No Title

I'm not sure where this one is headed but I'm throwing stuff on the wall to see what sticks.

Yesterday I was feeling awful...just bad awful. I thought I was gonna puke but that never happened, so I had to deal with the other end. I was actually feeling fine early on, I had some fresh from the oven cinnamon rolls and not long after that it was all down hill. Those things stayed on my stomach for hours....churning, not digesting. All I could do was lay down and sleep. I had crackers and ginger ale later in the afternoon...I had all of two crackers.

As the evening wore on, I was feeling a little better but still unable to eat anything of substance. I was due back at work today and I could tell that I wasn't going to be 100 percent but I got through with crackers and ginger ale. By 2:00 I could tell the end was about there. I stopped on the way home to get chicken noodle soup to start the system slowly...along with crackers and ginger ale.

See?...told ya. I don't have much.

Hey, take a look at one of my latest designs. Don't laugh at my house, I drew it myself.

Yes, it's on the website but I'm think I'm going to take the background away for the t-shirts. If you hop over there you'll see what I mean.

Mr Fix-it

I had featured this mini rocker on Memories & Magic January 5th of this year.

Well, one day Ave strolls into what use to be my ManCave and says PeePaw, I need you to fix my chair for me...I think I was too heavy for it.

After surveying the damage, I decided to remove the long staples that supported the seat before.

It was obvious to me at this point I was not using the same type of fasteners to support the seat.

So my choice was to use these small
nails with a twist.

It was really an easy fix, but the look on her face made it even more satisfying.

My How Time Flies!

It's hard to believe it's been over a month since my last post. Hmmmm....it takes me back to a time when I said I wouldn't allow myself to have long lapses between posts....i guess I was wrong.

I'm sort of mixed concerning how I feel about going so long without a post. Actually, I have a couple in draft that I probably won't post...I was venting very heavily. I also wrote a poem...in draft...also venting. Doing that has helped me to deal with a few things. All of this happening while I was busy getting designs done and uploaded to my new online store, Designs by Reglandus

It is a lot of work coming up with designs and getting them on the site...more work than I originally thought it would be. But you know what?....I'm really lovin' it. Sometimes I'll spend hours tweaking a design and even after it's uploaded I may make a change or two like I did with this one.
Before

After

After uploading the first design, I noticed the text seemed to be too small and TheQuesMark was ok but I decided to "chain" it and as you can see, I wanted to add some oomph! I think moving the lower arrow to the front added depth to the entire design. I'm still currently replacing the old design with the new one on the website.

I also have freehand designs that I mess around with. Currently, the design at the top (below) is on the website in a different color and the one below that is also there in a different flavor.

I have several designs in different colors and other stuff that I have yet to upload. I could upload what I have so far and let it ride, but new ideas keep coming and I keep going at it.

As far as blogging goes, I'm making no promises but I have missed this....more than I realize.
