I've noticed that some of my old post have been read lately and that has given me a curious look myself. I've opened a couple of them to see what I've written and noticed that I've done some experimenting along the way since I started this blog.
I recently deleted my second most read post because I wasn't really thinking when I wrote it and I thought it may have been offensive to women. Thinking back, I was angry not at women, but with TheWife and just happen to blurt out loud my frustration and the post really had nothing to do with why I was upset with her.
In general I am happy to say that my blog hasn't really changed although I have done some experimenting.
This post...World Class gets a lot of reads and reflects the core of my blog. I believe that life in general is our place of learning. Not taking away from text books, but they can't give what life itself does. If we can't learn from life, all the books in the world are useless....that's just me.
Life Has...is another post that has been read most recently by a few people. After reading this again brought to mind a post I had written about Steps.
Reading these reminded me of the style of poetry I like to write most although I have written a little on the dark side.
A stroll down memory lane has brought back the experiences I have in writing this blog and what I've learned along the way. It's not a very popular blog but I do appreciate my followers and those who happen to drop in unexpected. I keep moving along and I'll see what this journey has in store.

A Bloggers Pic In Poetry 5
Welcome to
A Blogger's Pic In Poetry
This is number 5 and again Daniel Plumer is the featured photographer.
I just have one question...do u see what eye see?
Daisies Of Yellow
Slowly approach, does the Cloud Of White
Sneaky he is, disguised in upper top right
Under cover of thick and dark it seems
Hiding behind glasses, his eyes are not seen
Laying in wait is the Rock Of Stone Mount
Face in center below, lips parched under its snout
Hand of left ready to batter what the cloud will bestow
His chest still and steady beneath the face, coming slow
'Tis a battle to commence betwixt these two fellows
See them flee the scene, all these Daisies Of Yellow

A Blogger's Pic In Poetry 4
Hello everyone and thank you for your interest in the series
A Blogger's Pic In Poetry
This is number 4 in the series and another photograph by Daniel Plumer
What stands out for me in this photo?...the fire and ice look, each giving the other their due respect in opposites, creating a union of beauty.
Two Beautiful
A fire travels above the cool quench below in sight
Consuming not to destroy, but to give wondrous light
The coolness below touched not by its red hot glare
Seems they two admonish, their beauty declared

A Blogger's Pic In Poetry 3
This is the third in the series
A Blogger's Pic In Poetry
Reading has taken on a technological turn and more people are reading on electronic devices and when I saw this it brought to my mind the art of reading a paper book.
I don't remember how I found this one but it definitely caught my eye. The first click of the picture took me to Britta Nickel's Tumblr blog/page which is linked to Sweet Southern Nights also on Tumblr. On Sweet Southern Nights you will find an array of photos that range from A to Z.

The art of reading in abnormal tradition
Feet in air bare monumental condition
Hard copy in hand, there's nothing like it
Twenty seven times straight, becomes habit

A Blogger's Pic In Poetry 2
This the second in the series titled
A Blogger's Pic In Poetry
Like the first one, this photo is by Daniel Plumer
Whoda Thought
I stand in place, never thought to be seen
Stand I sure I do, mine eyes do believe
Possible not, but here I do
Standing strong proudly tis true
I have weathered storms of many
More to come, they are a plenty
Faulter not have I, years gone ago

A Blogger's Pic In Poetry 1
I recently came across this photograph by way of my Google+ stream courtesy of Anissa Mayhew who shares a lot of nice pictures on her stream from other members.
I don't know what it was about this photo but I was impelled to write a poem about it.
To give you a heads up, this is the first of more to come in a series I'm calling: A Blogger's Pic In Poetry.
I'm not sure where I will find them or how often I will see a poem in a photo, but when I do, it will be included in the series.
I will say that I have spent some time on Daniel Plumer's Google+ page and I have four poems from some of his photographs. This is the first and I will post the rest in the order that I viewed and wrote the poem for each one.
Reflection
What is, reflects of itself
Doubling of single, non-stealth
Rocky hard, branches sticking
Softly seen, yellow green lifting
I am who I am, am I?
Seen as such is, to eye
Same as is, unchanged two one

A Gifted Talent Given
Let the talent of the talent shine
Brightly as gifted it was given, absolute
Astounding, the beauty of the gifted talent
How bright the talent?...matters not
Resting it aside for still of time, wasted
For it is not the one to give the talent light
But true to the giving, it is His light shining
Once the talent is motioned thru space of time
Wonder not the beauty to the eye
Savor in His gift, the talent given to shine

Love Is In The Air
Love In Time Coffee Mug
There is never a wrong time to show how much you love someone. Giving a gift of love at a time when they least expect it is a time to remember.
Poetry has always been a way to express these feelings. Now you can do it in so many different ways....and here are just a few.
You know you can't go wrong in giving a gift of love.

Time's Relevance
Time's relevance is irrelevant at times
Other times, so vastly important
Seeking to achieve one's destiny
Time waits for no man at all times
Man's purpose, sought by man throughout
In degrees that vary for purpose in life
Some to persevere in want and need
By others in disillusionment and despair
Flashing moments portray accomplishments
Times even to them who feel failure
Remember one and all, remember
Time's relevance, in the hands of one

The Journey
Life is unpleasant though pleasant
The traveled roads are obscure
The hills and valleys beauty
Lend their purpose and fulfill
We tend to wonder at times
Traveling onward and on
Passively aggressive and mild
So tedious the brain is the mind
Push and shove duck and dodge
Make way and clear the roads
Though futile it seems
Moving that in the way
Thinking it done but finished not
Cause the roads clearing is naught
For now we dig and probe the things
That take the place of before
Hours work is evermore endless
As we journey through live
Nostrils filled with sweet stench
For the roads of life lingers on

If Time Did Stop
Time ticks away by the seconds
Minute by minute, hour by hour
Awake we all, as the sun beckons
Rise from the bed, into the shower
Starting the day that awaits
Fresh from head to toe
Off to work, or whatever in states
Going here and there, to and fro
But I wonder sometimes
If time came not to be
Also do bells and chimes?
The waves from the sea?
No more songs from birds
No more wind or rain
Silence, we hear no words?
Hearts feeling no pain?
Would there be peace
At long last for sure?
Or does life cease
For all to endure

Bedtime Stories
From time to once upon a time
The stars in the sky they do rhyme
And the twinkle in the eyes also match
In ears of those that do catch
The sound of words from paper books
Telling stories 'bout nooks n brooks
It is joyous for sure from sea
To the the tallest ever tree
How they love as it's time for bed
On puffy pillows they lay their head

My Christmas Poem
The greatest gift given to me
Was the babe in a manger
For all the world to see
Herald as the coming Savior
For the sake of mankind
Because of his behavior
Such a gift to have received
Was the babe in a manger
For all the world to see
Herald as the coming Savior
For the sake of mankind
Because of his behavior
Such a gift to have received
Year in and onward to beyond
For man has been deceived
To spend and spend
When all He did was exist
God in man was the blend
No flat screen TV
Nor a phone of droid
Did this gift come to be
No glitter of lights adorned
Save the guiding star shining
To He who was born
That miracle happened but once
And has never stopped giving.
Love such love, the gift of sustenance

For man has been deceived
To spend and spend
When all He did was exist
God in man was the blend
No flat screen TV
Nor a phone of droid
Did this gift come to be
No glitter of lights adorned
Save the guiding star shining
To He who was born
That miracle happened but once
And has never stopped giving.
Love such love, the gift of sustenance
Time stands still for no man
Appreciation comes and settles
Sun rises and too the moon can
Matter not what I think or feel
But this award above you see
To me is really a big big deal
Thank you Poetry Palace for this award

Just Us?
It is hard not to imagine in all that exists, we are the only living intelligent forms of life...as we live ours, according to how we exist...surely there are others living theirs, according to their existence.
In our finite minds
others do exist?
Surely?, we only
In this vast space?
It really doesn't matter what our religious beliefs might be, how we worship God or whether we believe in Him or not. It matters not the years of study and speculation.
Only one form of intelligent life?....in all that we have not even begun to see?
What we cannot see
does it exist?
As far as our
Eyes have taken us
We have yet to see
The beginnings of
Existence
The stone has yet to touch water
I believe it is a good thing in what we have accomplished concerning our exploration into the existence of whatever is out there. But really...just us?

Change Has Come
I have made the decision to move my poetry to another blog that I've had for a couple of years at least...doing nothing with it.
The title on that blog is Reggie's Thinking.
This will get me back to concentrating on what this blog is all about. Once I get settled in a bit more with copying poems from here to there, I'm going to be adding a forum to my blog which I'm hoping will be helpful and fun for many many people.
It will be about the guts of what this blog title is.
Should you venture over to my other place, it is truly in it's infancy. I'm in no hurry to get stuff copied but I did want to start using the other site as soon as possible for the start of the poetry posting.
That's it for now. I do have an award post I need to get done here and that will be done later today as I'm doing other stuff to get this done without a lot of hassle (hopefully).

I Hear Stars
The moon hears the stars in the
Outers of space
Speaking, asking, wondering
Why it is so giving of itself
Humbled, the moon speaks and
Says, shouldn't I not be free
To give? As my brilliance in light
Is freely given by one of your own?
Yes, but we watch in your travels
You are swiped and scooped
Until you are visible not
Until you come again...
The stars, wanting to know more
Await the moon's return
And true to its form
Its presence is shone
They ask the question anew
Where is it you go?
Is it painful we ask?
When you go where you go
From the scoops upon
Scoops upon scoops
time over time
As long as your birth
You do this, you give
You never complain
Not so much as an
Ouch!
Again the moon speaks,
It is no bother be assured
No harm is done
It is really my pleasure
You see, the people
Seem to like what transpires
Look forward to it they do
On this planet mostly blue
So as I partner with you
Closet star who gives light
I take what you give
So to shine big and bright
No reasons are needed
Explanations none too
It is but a small wonder
In this vastness of wonders
I will do this, and too will you
Until there is light no more.
Now, we have light
No worries, just wonders

Artful Sounds
They are artist all
They who write, these
Words that sing, the
Facts of life
Poetry springs forth
With the sound of music
To the eyes that read
It is music to ones ears
Whether in joyfulness
Or done in sadness
These words play music
To the eyes that read
They cease to grow old
No matter how old
The words were written ago
They play on still, they play
Bringing us to smiles,
Cause shedding of tears
They play on, in our ears
As the eyes read the words
We never forget,
At any given moment
Dancing in our minds
We hear the artful sounds
This is my entry for Poetry Potluck where the theme
for this week is Muse, Art, Music and Poetry.

Again
The moon was rising
Above the rooftop
Rising above the trees
Its brilliance is hazily beautiful
Even though someone
Something
Has taken a scoop
From the moon again?
No worries...
The moon is gracious
It gives of itself
Until it is no more
But returns again
Bright in the sky
With it's borrowed light
Ready to become full again
To give again
Then to leave, for a moment
Again

Sights And Sounds
Courtesy Google Images
It was a moonlit night
Cool was the breeze
Which moves leaves
In trees
Two layers of clouds
In the sky above
The lowest
Moving fast swiftly
The sights and sounds
Of this night
Although I am here
Have taken me away
To my place of escape
From the mortar and brick
For a moment in mind
For a moment in time
These are a few of my favorite things
